With a relaxed and tolerant attitude towards different life styles, Amsterdam is a hot-spot for Gay visitors.
Considered the birthplace of LGBT rights. The first legal gay and lesbian nuptials were officiated here, the first monument constructed here and it's the only city in the world to celebrate Gay Pride with an elaborate boat parade!

Drugs In Amsterdam

Soft drugs are available in coffeeshops for people who are over 18. Don't buy any drugs on the street. This is illegal, dangerous and, if caught by the police, the only trip you'll make is down to the police station. There are plenty of "Coffeeshops" in the City and most are open till 1am.

Sex in Amsterdam

Amsterdam has a long tradition and strong presence of prostitution. The Dutch do not see moral restraints in using services of the sex worker. Legal in the Netherlands since 1830, Amsterdam is a honey pot for Prostitution with "De Wallen" (Red Light District) being the main area for business.
For those who may not feel like hiring a girl but still want the famous thrill of Amsterdam sex, one of the city's strip clubs or live sex shows is the way to go. In these establishments, visitors pay an entrance fee to watch stage shows ranging from stripping to girls performing tricks with ping pong balls and candles all the way to live shows where couples have sex on stage.
